Kashrut Guidelines
Kashrut guidelines for events at Kfar Vradim Synagogue
General:
The purpose of these guidelines is to create a general and high standard for the kashrut level of the synagogue.
So that everyone can take an active part in synagogue events that include food, it is important and correct that the standard be such that it can include everyone, in the spirit of "Together the Tribes of Israel."
Guidelines:
- 1. All food served in the synagogue will be pareve or dairy, no meat will be served.
- 2. All products will be sealed and purchased, no homemade items will be served.
- 3. All products will have certification from one (or more) of the approved kashrut organizations.
- 4. For events taking place on Shabbat, products must be brought in coordination with one of the committee members on Friday.
- 5. Other kashrut certifications will be approved in consultation with the Rabbi.
- 6. External catering will only be allowed with advance coordination subject to Rabbi approval.
